Jim passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday August 22nd in his home in Payette. He was born on August 14, 1932 in Buhl, Idaho. He is the son of James W and Millie Cox Rutherford. He was one of three children with sisters Loree and MaryAnne. Jim grew up in Boise and attended Boise High School, and Boise Junior College and Westminster College. He played running back for BJC and Westminster football teams. After college he served in the USAF during the Korean War. He worked for Morrison Knudsen for over 30 years in over 18 states and also in Saudi Arabia. He was married for 22 years to Barbara Ann Stroud of Boise. They had four boys, Eric, Dirk, Jeff, and Todd. He later married Norma Lee Baugh in 1977. He welcomed her two sons, Craig and Troy, and daughter Molli to the family as his own. His occupation kept he and Norma traveling throughout the country and in Saudi Arabia. They made their way back to Idaho in 1992 living in Garden Valley, then MeadowCreek in New Meadows, and for the last nine years in Payette. Jim loved golfing with his sons and over the years was involved in many competitive matches of two on two. More than anything, he loved his times with Norma on their deck or patio, and grilling up one of his specialties on the barbeque. He is survived by his wife Norma, son Jeff, grandsons Todd, Brett, and great grandson Carter (Todd), of Boise. Son Craig Baugh of Tucson, Daughter Molli Wingert, and grandson Christopher, of Boise. Daughter-in-law Darci Baugh (Troy), of Garden Valley, granddaughters Natasha and Nicole Baugh, and Anna Kitselman and great granddaughter Alwyn, and grandchildren Amber and Steve. Daughter-in-law Tina Rutherford (Eric), grandson JC, granddaughter; Lisa Serrano, great grandchildren; Selena, Tony, and Julie of Aurora, Colorado. Grandson; Brian Dottaviano (Dirk), of Vero Beach, Florida, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters, his son Todd, son Dirk, son Eric,, grandson Ryan Rutherford (Jeff) and son Troy Baugh. They are having one heck of a reunion! He was looking forward to the Boise State Broncos football season, and will be cheering for an undefeated season from above. He will be deeply missed by us all.
