Jerry L. Metcalf

Jerry Lynn Metcalf, 60, passed away on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. Jerry was born March 10, 1950 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Clyde & Stella Metcalf. Jerry was the youngest son in a family of eight which included his twin sister Sherry. Jerry was raised in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1969. He married Debbie Kopp in July of 1968. Jerry and Debbie had 3 children; Russ, Julie and Mike. They later divorced and Jerry has spent the past 26 years sharing his life with Sandie Armstrong. Jerry worked for various companies in the area, including Idaho Frozen Foods, Gateway Trailers, Colonial Concrete, and Monroc Concrete before beginning his own business Metcalf Abatement. Jerry never met a stranger and never found a golf course he couldn't lose a ball or two on.
He is survived by his significant other, Sandie Armstrong of Twin Falls; children, Russell (Tina) Metcalf of Twin Falls, Julie (Jack) Flolo of Hailey, and Michael (Melissa) Metcalf of Twin Falls, Sandie's children Stacey Armstrong and Josh Armstrong. Siblings, Gar (Deanna) Metcalf of Twin Falls, Bill (Diane) Metcalf of Boise, Joyce Thompson of Twin Falls, Sherry (Glenn) Rinehart of Boise, and Diane Metcalf Hansen of Nampa. He had ten grandchildren and more nieces, nephews and friends than one can count. He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant sister Joan and his brother Wayne.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held at White Mortuary from 4-8:00pm on Sunday, March 21, 2010 with family greeting friends from 6-8:00pm and also one hour before the service.
