Jesus Herrera Gonzalez

Jesus Herrera Gonzalez, 71 of Idaho Falls, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in Idaho Falls. He was born on January 17, 1945 in Del Rio, TX to Antonio and Maria de la Luz (Herrera) Gonzalez. He was raised in Del Rio, TX and later went to California where he married Josefina Rivera Bazaldua and they later came to Idaho Falls where he worked as a farm hand and mechanic for Ashment Farms and R.T. French's. He was an avid classic car collector, enjoyed restoring his cars and showing them at different car shows. He had a master mechanic's hands, ears and eyes and could fix and build anything. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time and sharing their interests.
Jesus is survived by his wife Josefina of Idaho Falls; children: Berta Dargie (Tom), Ylda Ray (John), Jacinto Gonzalez (Karrie); 10 grandchildren: Alexis, Daniel, Marshall, Tomas and Ricky Dargie, Houston and Marina Brown, Antonio, Angelique and Aiden Gonzalez. He is also survived by three brothers: Joe (Elaine), Ventura (Pat) and Antonio (Katie). He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Albino; sisters: Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez Albiso and Maria Scott. The family would like to offer our special thanks and gratitude to Erika, dad's pulmonary therapist; Connie, dad's fourth floor nurse and Virna, dad's CNA at EIRMC hospital.
