Jimmie Neal Elliott, 86, went Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born in Coleman, TX, March 30, 1926, and married Reba Newton there in 1946. They came to Idaho in 1955 and he became a certified nuclear welder for Argonne National Laboratories. He served as a shepherd at the Church of Christ for 50 years. He loved the outdoors and had the reputation of "Fish Whisperer". His great joy was sharing his skill and love of fishing with his family. Jim is survived by Reba, his wife of 65 years; 5 children: Merlena (Joel Swindlehurst), Michael (Kay), Marcia (Perry Palermo), Mel (Lori) and Mark (Carol); 12 grandchildren: Arik (Becky) and Alen Swindlehurst, Kristopher (Heather), Kyle (Misti), and Miya (De'on Waynewood), Cracia (Mark Hodges), Ryan, Jared, Chad, (Bobbi Kane), Wyatt, Camille (Joe Fournier), and Matthew Elliott; 22 great grandchildren: Kimberly (Steven Stacey), Ataya, Peyton, Gabriel, Braden and Kohen Swindlehurst; Emy, Savijawn and Lance Elliott; Addalynn, Sanai and Zion Waynewood; Makayla, Bailey, Lillie and Mark Hodges; Damon, Logan and Landon Elliott, Koa, Miklym and Marissa Kane. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Church of Christ, 2650 Plommon Street Idaho Falls, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Foster's Home for Children, 1779 N.
