Jimmy N. Hoffman 89 of Caldwell, Idaho died Sunday December 4, 2011 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise. Family members were with him. Jim was born in Alpine, Wyoming which was Alpine, Idaho before the Palisades Reservoir changed boundaries.
After Jim's service in World War II he graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in pharmacy.
Jim and Grace and his brother Joe and his wife Lael established their own independent pharmacy in Oxnard, California where Jim and his beloved wife Grace worked alongside Joe and Lael for 40 years. Jim and Grace retired to Caldwell, Idaho over 20 years ago. Jim loved Idaho and divided his time between Caldwell and Alpine. Jim loved his wonderful neighbors dearly, and was proud and grateful to be called friend. He leaves, till we meet again, family members: Lael Hoffman, Joe and Paula Hoffman, Matt Hoffman, Amanda and Steven Alfred, Elliott Alfred, Lillian Grace Alfred and Dan and Julie Geisler.
Jim is joyfully reunited now with his wife Grace, his brothers Joe and Dave and his sisters Josie and Viola, his niece Pat, as well as his parents Joe and Nellie Mae. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, with Pastor Dave London, officiating. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. A viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.
