JoAnn H Taylor

May 15, 1932 — March 26, 2013

Jo Ann Hazel Taylor 80, of Coltman died Tuesday March 26, 2013 at her home in Coltman, Idaho.
She was born to James Monroe Kossman and Edith Kossman in Sublet Idaho near Albion.. She spent her early years on the ranch in Sublet. She loved the ranch and spent hours with her dad on the back of her horse "Dinky" herding cows and sheep and playing with her dog. She learned to cook on a wood stove with her mother and when the crops were ready to harvest they had many farm hands that they cooked three meals a day.
She graduated from Twin Falls High School because there was no high school in Sublet. Several years later the family moved from the ranch to Mackay to run the store and post office. She was working in the store when she met Miles Taylor where he and his brother had a small farm. After a short courtship she and Miles married in Idaho Falls, Idaho on October 22, 1950. They soon moved to the farm in Idaho Falls where they farmed and had three daughters. They farmed for over 50 years.
She was a good Christian woman who was a good wife, mother and grandmother. She liked to garden, plant flowers. She also canned vegetables which everyone thought was great. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters Susie Landon and Denice Steven, of Idaho Falls, A sister Rae Jean Theel, Grandchildren Sam Long, Scott Long, Charlie Stevens, Michael Stevens, Misty Hult, Miles Muir, Houston Muir and seven great grandchildren Cameron Stevens, Gavin Long, Amelia Long, Gabriel Long, "new baby girl Long on the way", Ryder Hult, Berlyn Hult, her two little dogs Midge and Buttons (aka Biscuit). She is preceded in death by her husband Miles David Taylor and her youngest daughter Jill Taylor Muir.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:-00 a.m. on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm St Idaho Falls, with Reverend Dennis Falasco officiating. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to services at the church.
