Josephine Hixson, born on April 19, 1937, in Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at the Life Care Center in Ammon, Idaho.
Josephine grew up in Provo, Utah, and Idaho Falls, Idaho, as one of ten siblings. She is survived by her two sisters, Thelma Christiansen and Leona Ward. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones.
Josephine was married three times during her life: to Keith Burtinshaw on April 23, 1955; to Earl Don Garner on December 25, 1977; and to Danill Nash on July 9, 1983. She is survived by her children Ferron Martin, Cody Lamb, and Hope Stoddard. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Nikole Kranz, Justin Martin, Jessica Samowitz, Josh Martin, Mariah Martin, Bradley Lamb, Ashley Valleda, Shawn Lamb, Brandon Garner, Eddie Stoddard, Katie Stoddard, and Amanda Lamoreaux; as well as four step-grandchildren: Monique Derr, Eric Loumeau, Janette Coleman-Beier, and Danielle LeBaron. Her son David Coker of Salem, OR, and daughter Lyndia Lamoreaux of Idaho Falls, ID, preceded her in death.
Known for her generous heart and unwavering devotion to her family, Josephine found joy in simple pleasures such as working puzzles and caring for her beloved little dogs. Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
A service to honor Josephine’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11 AM, at Buck Funeral Home, located at 825 E 17th St., Idaho Falls, ID 83404.
