Junior Wyllie Lewis
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather left this world early Monday February 20, 2012 due to pancreatic cancer. Junior was born in Soda Springs, Oklahoma on October 7, 1943 to Frank & Hannah Lewis, he was l of 13 kids. He spent his childhood in Arkansas & Arizona and finished school in Ukiah, California.
In 1963 he married the love of his life, Nikki Woody. They married & lived in Willits, California where Junior worked as a foreman at a furniture factory with up to 200 employees. Later they moved back to Idaho where he worked in construction & opened Filer Body & Custom with his son Darrin. Many hours were spent with Junior teaching Darrin how to "put the shine" on their projects.
In 1995 Junior decided to build a home for him & his wife on Skeleton Butte, where they could see for miles around & enjoy the open spaces. He was always busy building & inventing things. These projects always worked well with the benefits going to family & friends. He had such funny quirks that he would say like "If it works don't fix it" and "You know you are #1 in my book" all said with his head slightly tilted, looking up & that little grin on his face. Junior had many talents from being a private pilot, which he took his wife & kids, to building a house from the ground up, to restoring an old car from rust to beautiful.
Junior's family meant the world to him. He spent many hours with his girls helping with their projects or just spending time enjoying their company. His son and he enjoyed fishing anywhere they could drown a worm or just exploring different areas all over the Magic Valley & learning its history.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nikki, his son Darrin, his two daughters Rhonda & Carma, and his favorite granddaughter Kinsyi. There are numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren who will also miss him dearly. He is survived by his brothers Raymond, Bill, Roy, and sisters Fern & Pauline. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.
Until we meet again my love, I'll play your song to me every day in my heart, "Remember Me".
At Junior's request no services are scheduled. Memorials may be given in Junior's name to the Humane Society. Contributions may be mailed to White Mortuary, P.O. Box 845, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.
