Katherine Buescher

Katherine Buescher of Idaho Falls passed away Tuesday, June 14th, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. Katherine was born on October 3, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louis and Iris Christy. She grew up in New Orleans and attended Holy Angels Academy. She married Brent Buescher in Saint Francis Cabrini Church in New Orleans in 1965. The couple then moved to Tuscon, Arizona. After her husband completed his studies, Katherine moved with him several times before they settled in Idaho Falls in 1979. Katherine had many interests and loved playing the piano. She was an avid gardener who filled the back of her yard with flowers and other plants. She maintained an extensive correspondence with friends from everywhere she had lived and with her extended family. Before her illness, she had been active in the Idaho Master Gardeners Association and in the Idaho Falls Friends of the Library. She is survived by her husband, Brent Buescher of Idaho Falls; her son, Brent Buescher, Jr. of Wooster, Ohio; her son, Andrew Buescher of Seattle, Washington; and her brother, Jerome Christy of New Orleans, Louisiana. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on the corner of 9th and Lee in Idaho Falls, with Father John Worster, celebrant. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls.
