Kathleen Sharon Smith

Kathleen "Katie" Sharon Smith, 54 of Idaho Falls died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at her home in Idaho Falls of natural causes after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on July 20, 1956, in Idaho Falls, the daughter of Arthur L. Smith and Sharon Ann Johnson Smith. She attended school in Idaho Falls at Edgemont Gardens, Clair E. Gale and Skyline High School. She was a friend to many and enjoyed helping people when ever she could. Katie loved her pets very much and they were her constant companions. Although she had been previously married and divorced, Katie spent many years with her life partner Roger Johnson who preceded her in death in 2008.
Survivors include her sisters, Christine (David) Southwick of Idaho Falls, Roberta (Rod) Dustin of Utah, Lisa Smith of Idaho Falls, Naida (Bill) Guyer of California, Margurette (John) Flower of Washington; a brother, Roger Smith of California; step-sisters, Margaret (Jim) Fraser of Idaho Falls, Judith (Steve) Stevens of Idaho Falls, Lu Shannon (Gerry) Sanford of Utah, Ellen (Norm) Thomlinson of Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2001, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
