Kathryn Gertrude McFadden Knotts

Kathryn Gertrude Knotts, 97, of Fruitland, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. She was born January 6, 1917 in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma to Royal Edgar and Louise Susan (Lula) McFadden. As a young girl the family moved to Farley, New Mexico in the 1920's to farm the land. A few years after graduating from high school she married Chester F. Knotts, Sr. in Clayton, New Mexico. This union grew by three; a daughter Patricia Arlene and two sons Chester Jr. and Keith Allen. After WWII the family resettled in New Plymouth, Idaho. There she became involved in the school lunch program, then decided to go to business school after which she secured a position with Bank of Idaho, later retiring as manager. In retirement she enjoyed being a grandma. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, three brothers and three of her four sisters. Graveside services will be held at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth, Idaho on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.
