He was born Nov. 23, 1928 to Harry and Hazel Miller in Freeport, KS. He grew up with his family in Ringwood, OK and married Violet Driskell Sept. 12, 1950. After his marriage, he joined the army serving in the Korean War as a radio operator. In 1955, he moved his family to the Payette area. Ken worked for Earl Heeb, and then drove truck for Bob Roth. From the early 1960's to his retirement in 1991, he drove truck for May Trucking in Payette. He was a valued employee, and loved his job. Ken and Vi spent many vacations and weekends camping and fishing with friends and family, gaining many friends along the way. They especially loved taking their Grandkids fishing. In their retirement years, they spent the winters in Arizona, and the summers' camp hosting at Idaho campgrounds, until Vi's health didn't allow it. Ken is survived by his three children, Janice Roberts of Fruitland, Charlie Miller (Kathy) of Payette, and Kathryn Sims-Gould (Glen) of Anchorage, AK; four grandkids, Brian Miller, Donavan Sims, Keri Hathaway (Lincoln), and Crystal Davis (Heath); five great grandkids, Dawson Davis, Veronika and Alex Sims, Hayden and Sydni Hathaway. Ken was preceded in death by his wife Violet of 53 years in 2003, his mother and father, a brother Erby Miller, and a sister Joyce Bolser. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the wonderful people from Royal Villa of Payette, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661. The family would like to give our deepest appreciation to Barbara Little and the entire staff at Royal Villa for the loving care they gave our Dad.
