He was born June 19, 1940 in Lahaina, Maui to Mitsudo and Fumiko Teraguchi. He attended LahainaLuna High School where he was a star football player known for his fierce competitive nature. His claim to fame was being part of the state high school championship team as a senior - an unbelievable task for such as small school. After graduating high school in 1958, he attended Milwaukee College of Engineering where he received his mechanical engineering degree. Graduated in 1962 and enlisted in the Navy until 1968. He served on a seawolf class nuclear submarine. He eventually ended up at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory by 1964. Although he worked at a variety of places at the INEL, he stayed at Argonne National Laboratory for 24 years until his retirement in 1998. Shortly after settling down in Idaho Falls, he met Juanita on a blind date in1965. They later married on March 19, 1966. They had two children, Deborah Kaye Norris and Daniel (Noriko). Kenneth enjoyed coaching baseball and he was infamous for wearing his slippers (mainland translation: flip flops), even in the bitter cold, sportsmanship, and importance of practice, practice, and more practice. Even as kid he played racquetball, basketball, and baseball barefoot and only wore shoes at funerals and weddings. Even then, they were not real shoes but boots that he had to wear at work due to safety precautions. He also enjoyed fishing with friends and family as well as bowling. But his true love became throwing dice at every chance he got, especially after he retired, or searching for that elusive royal flush on the poker slots. When he was not in Jackpot or Las Vegas, he enjoyed being with his two grandchildren, Tyler and Kamiko, and getting frustrated with Sudoku and crossword puzzles. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Teraguchi of Idaho Falls; a son, Daniel (Noriko) of Washington, DC; a Daughter, Deborah Norris of Idaho Falls; his mother (now 92 years old), sister, Barbara, and his two children and two grandchildren (as well as two grand-dogs, Kole and Kuleo).
