Larry "Dean" Lynch passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 after contracting COVID-19 and suffering complications during hospitalization.
Dean was born in Gooding, Idaho on February 13, 1965 to Larry and Joye (Barton) Lynch. He was raised primarily in Payette but lived in Utah and California for short periods when his parents moved for work opportunities.
Dean graduated from Payette High School in May 1983 and attended one year at University of Idaho on an ROTC scholarship. He returned to Payette in 1984 and enrolled at TVCC. He later joined the US Coast Guard with his friend Bryan, returning home briefly to be married to Lesley Penn (now Grant). They had three children: Shawn, Rebecca, and Jason. While in the Coast Guard, Dean was stationed in, as he liked to say "all four corners" of the United States, beginning and ending in Washington state. He and Lesley divorced in 1998 and Dean returned to Payette to be nearer to his family and to raise his three children. He began working for what is now Plexus of Boise when he returned to Payette and worked there until the time of his passing.
Dean met Julie (Bauer) Lynch at church, and they were married in 2007. Dean welcomed stepdaughter Caitlyn Bauer and loved her like his own. Dean and Julie were able to spend 13 years together, raising their children, traveling to many places and fulfilling many "we should go" adventures in that time. They had dreams of retiring in the next 8-10 years and beginning their next travel adventure - seeing the United States. Dean could hardly wait to show Julie all of the places he had been and to explore new ones along the way. He loved to see new places and share adventures with his family. Dean's now in Heaven, exploring the wonders there and celebrating face-to-face with the God he so loved.
Dean is survived by his wife Julie Lynch, children Shawn, Becky, Jason, and Caity, as well as his father Larry Lynch, brother Albert (Teresa) Lynch and sister Tammy (Ron) Kirk. He had many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly as well. He was preceded in death by his mother Joye, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
