LAVERNE ODELL FRISLIE
Laverne Odell Frislie, 75, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013, after experiencing a series of severe strokes. He was surrounded by the love of his entire family. He was born on February 24, 1938, in Greenbush, Minnesota, to Olaf and Alpha Frislie.
Vern loved the outdoors and his adventurous spirit drew him to Alaska where he loved to fish, hunt and explore. He was most passionate about taking care of his family and friends. Vern was a great story teller. He loved to socialize and when he told a joke everyone would laugh, but Vern would always laugh the longest.
He is survived by his son, Alan James; his daughters, Debra Mae (Gene) Biever, June Marie (Rock) White, Irene Frislie, Misty (Glen) Lambert, and Eve Frislie; two sisters, Lottie (JD) Nelson and Twilla Knowles; Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olaf and Alpha Frislie, and his son, Robert John Frislie.
If you could ask Vern today how he was doing he would say, "If I was any better I couldn't stand it."
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roberts Church, 663 N. 2858 E. in Roberts, with Bishop Jeremy Berrett, officiating.
