Leslie Neal "Les" Childs

June 4, 1953 — October 6, 2012

Leslie Neal Childs, 59, of Filer died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls. Les was born on June 4, 1953 to James E. and Marvel Childs (Bridge). He grew up in and around Idaho and graduated from Dietrich High School in 1972. While in high school he was voted Class President and friendliest guy. After high school, Les worked in various jobs including auto body, welding and drywall. Les was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying trips with his brothers throughout his life. He loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could enjoying the natural beauty of Idaho. Although his sister, Angie, wasn't much for hunting, the memories of Les spending time with his little sister are cherished memories to her. After having been surrounded by 5 brothers for his entire life, a baby sister was a new adventure and he took on the big brother role with pleasure. Les is survived by his brothers: Allen Childs of Twin Falls; Daniel Childs of Shoshone; Michael Childs of Shoshone; James Childs of Twin Falls; his sister, Angela Bridge of Jerome; his stepfather, Arnold Bridge of Twin Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents (James E. and Marvel), and his younger brother, Mark. We cherish the memories of our brother and although he is no longer here with us, we are grateful to have known and loved him. May he find the peace he deserves. A celebration of Les' life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary. Condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.whitemortuary.com.Filer -
