Linda graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1964; the University of Idaho with her BS in Education in 1966; and Idaho State University with a Master of Counseling emphasizing Elementary School Counseling in 1995.
She married Tom Hoffman on June 10, 1967, and they traveled the world. Linda was a consummate military-wife, gracefully navigating separations and reunions, maintaining a constantly moving home, and lovingly held family together through physical separations.

Linda's great loves were God, her husband Tom and son Aaron, young children, her students, traveling, and her dogs. Linda loved to see the world and was especially fond of Caribbean sailing cruises. After retiring, Linda enjoyed traveling with Tom in their ALPHA motor home returning to Idaho Falls for the summers. Linda loved the 5 o'clock happy hours with her friends in the RV community whether they just met that day or had been friends for years.
Throughout her life Linda was active in the life of her church, from cooking for youth club, serving as the Sunday school director, and on a Pastoral Nominating Committee. She was especially fond of working at Camp Sawtooth in Ketchum. Linda actively presented Vacation Bible Schools throughout her life wherever she was and was a long-time volunteer at the Idaho Falls Food Bank.
