Lisa Therese McRoberts (nee Lamping), 59, passed away on December 10, 2024 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Beloved wife of Retired MSgt USAF Marty McRoberts. Daughter of Sandra M. Gillis (nee Sadowski) and the late John William Lamping, Jr., Stepdaughter of Gary M. Gills. Stepmother to Vanessa McRoberts, Felix McRoberts and Natalie McRoberts (deceased). Nana Lisa of Isiah, Mariah, R.J., Vincent, Aaliyah and Angelina. Sister of Deborah (Scott) McDonald, Mark (Dorothy) Lamping, Laura (Dennis) Lamping-Flynn, and Michael Gillis. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Lisa is a former resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Humble, Texas, and Chicago, Il and an alumna of Humble High School and Nursing School in Texas. Lisa was a dedicated nurse, specializing in pediatrics and home health. She spent many summers caring for children at the recovery camp in Kerrville, TX. Known for her compassionate care, genuine empathy, and unwavering commitment to her patients, she touched the lives of countless patients and will live on as an organ donor. Lisa had a strong faith, and as a devout Roman Catholic, she embodied the teachings of Jesus in her daily life and activities. She was a shining example of a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (MS Society). A funeral Mass and celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, December 30 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church 14714 Edgemont St. San Antonio, TX 78247. Interment at 1:30 P.M. will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1520 Wurzbach Road San Antonio TX 78209.
