Lois Williams

July 31, 1923 — August 24, 2012

Lois Lee Williams , 89 of Twin Falls passed away peacefully Friday, August 25, 2012 at the St Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center after a short illness. Lois was born July 31, 1923 in Juniata, Nebraska, one of three children born to George and Pearl Lange. At a young age she moved with her parents to the Jerome area where she attended schools. That is where she met the love of her life, Shirley J (Slim) Williams. They were married Dec 4, 1940. Together they worked hard to raise a family of 3 sons and 1 daughter in the Jerome area. .Lois worked as a cashier in the grocery business in her earlier years before accepting a position with Idaho Power Field Services Accounting in Twin Falls, a position she held until she retired at age 59. Lois and her husband operated Williams Insulation until they both retired for the second time. Lois loved music and played the organ and piano with great zeal. Lois was active in community affairs helping the Twin Falls Senior Center become a reality. However her real passion and enjoyment of life in her later years was performing with the B J s musical group entertaining seniors across the Magic Valley. Lois and her husband were life long members of the United Methodist Church. She is fondly and loving remembered by her family and friends. Surviving are her sons, Dennis G. Williams, of Jerome, and Doug J. Williams of Boise and daughter, Dixie Lee Blamires of Jerome, 10 grand children, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Don L. Williams of Twin Falls- Stanley and 3 grand children. Graveside Services for Lois will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Jerome Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Twin Falls Senior Center or Jerome Methodist Church.
