Loretta was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1946, to parents Joseph and Emily Facinelli. She was the fourth born of five children. The family moved to Laguna Beach, Ca. when she was very young and it was there she attended school. While in high school, she met and later married Henry Miller of Paradise, Ca. The couple had three boys. The family lived in California for many years. She moved to Teton Valley in 2002 and worked at See N' Save thrift store. In 2006, she moved to Ammon, Idaho where she worked as a school cook at Hillcrest and Rocky Mountain schools. While having grown up in Southern California, Loretta loved the beach, sunshine and sand between her toes. She also loved all kinds of music and laughter and possessed the endearing quality of laughing at herself. She loved spending time with her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, good friends and family, and her faithful companion of 12 yrs., her Dachshund "Penny," all whom surrounded her with love and support until the end. She is survived by sons; Bryan Miller (Victor, Id), Ron Miller and his wife Johanna (Victor, Id), Greg Miller (Jackson Hole, Wy), daughter-in-law, Kellie Fisher-Thiele (Washington) Grandchildren; Kaylee, Bryan, Julie, and Mathew Miller, of Idaho. Grandchildren; Ashton, Korey, and McKenna Miller of Washington, Great grandchild Connor Baker of Idaho Falls, two siblings, Marie Trujillo of California and Juanita Sears of Idaho, her favorite aunt, Dorothy Panagos of California, and her Dachshund, "Penny" whom is now living with Loretta's sister. Loretta was predeceased by brother, Juni, 1948, father, Joseph Facinelli, 1993, mother, Emily Facinelli, 1995, brother Frank Facinelli, 2009, husband Henry Miller, 2010 and brother Jerry Facinelli in 2011. The family would like to thank the following people for their compassion and support during this difficult time. Her pastors Larry Cudmore and Aldon Johnson of the 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church of Idaho Falls, Snake River Radiation, Dr. Spiers, Dr. Shull, of Snake River Oncology, Dr. Poston, E.I.R.M.C. 5th and 6th floor nurses, and staff, you were very kind. Life Care Center of Idaho Falls, thank you for making her final stay as comfortable and dignified as possible and for making the family feel truly supported. Thank you to Cindy and the staff from Hearts with Hospice, for providing a peaceful journey for Loretta. We would like to send our heartfelt gratitude to Loretta's close friends Lori and Sama, whom spent everyday checking in, cheering up, channeling fears and encouraging hope and also transported her to and from her treatments, and her good friend Annette for always lending a helping hand. We appreciate every one who touched Loretta's heart. We will all miss her smile and laughter greatly.
