Loretta was born on October 18, 1921 to Worley Wilber Adams and Vina Mae Huddleston. She married Cecil Lee Dade on October 11, 1938. They had three children, Donald Lee, Loretta Pearl and Phyllis Kale. They divorced several years later. In 1949 Loretta moved to Southern Idaho with her three children where she worked at Barlow Seed, Woolworths and eventually Ferry Morris Seed as a supervisor where she met David Dale Smith. She and Dale married on August 24, 1955 and together they farmed a property in Eden, ID until 1972 when they sold out and moved to Hazelton, ID. After Dale's death in 1992 Loretta moved to Filer, ID to be closer to her children. Loretta was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who was proud of the fact that she had five generations of her family living at one time. She loved the Lord Jesus and was born again in His name on June 2, 1985 serving Him faithfully until He took her home to dwell with Him.
Loretta was a fun-loving woman who loved spending time with her family, assuring that she got this time by hosting monthly family dinners, attending holiday gatherings and family reunions and traveling to visit her sister in Georgia and her son in Arizona. Loretta also loved to crochet and made doll outfits for her granddaughters and Afghans for every member of her family. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Worley & Vina Adams, husband David Dale Smith, three brothers, Worley Lester Adams, Vestal Carnie Adams and Kenneth Lee Rice, one sister Gilma Kale Piltcher, two daughters, Loretta Pearl Whaley and Phyllis Kale Frazier and three grandsons, Shane Henry Frazier, Blaine Kelly Frazier and David Lee Dade. Loretta is survived by her only son, Donald Lee Dade of Ft. Mojave, Arizona, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren as well as 2 great-great children in the oven. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11 am at In His Name Christian Fellowship, 405 Hwy 30, Filer, ID. There will be a viewing at 10 am one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park."
