Louise Reno

Evelyn Louise (Morris) Reno was born on April 17, 1929, in Gage, Oklahoma, to Imon O. Morris and Jessie Ella (Drake) Morris. Although her first name is Evelyn, she preferred to be called by her middle name, Louise. She was the fourth of five girls. She graduated from Woodward High School in Woodward, OK, in 1947. She met her future husband, W.E. "Gene" Reno in Bartlesville, OK. They were married on May 5, 1957 and immediately moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. While in Idaho daughters Laura Ruth and Carol Ann were born. In 1960 they returned to Bartlesville for 7 years and daughters Janet Gail and Nancy Cheryl were born. At the end of the 7 years they moved back to Idaho Falls where they stayed. In Idaho Falls Louise worked part time for the Atomic Workers Credit Union, which later became Westmark Credit Union, until she retired. She was widowed in 1983 and several years later moved to York, NE. In 2014 she returned to Idaho Falls, ID, where she passed away peacefully on November 27, 2015. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She was considered a quiet person, and she quietly went about serving God and helping others. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene Reno, and her sisters Helen Lucas and Imogene Miller. She is survived by her sisters Eileen Weist and JoAnne Swanson; her daughters Laura Abello, Carol Jayne, Janet Rush and Nancy Kovach; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ, 2650 Plommon Road, Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Tuesday, December 1 at 4 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401. She will be greatly missed.
