Lucille (Ihler) Keneipp of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away July 17, 2012 at Heritage Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born December 29, 1912 in Filer, Idaho to Emil D. Ihler and Mary Matilda Diercks.
She attended grade school and high school in Filer and graduated from Filer High School in 1931.
After graduation she married Don Shaver on June 10, 1935 in Ogden, Utah. They were later divorced. Later she married Vernon E. Keneipp on June 10, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they resided until Vernon's death. He passed away January 24th, 1967 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota after open heart surgery.
She worked 14 years at the Buhl and Sunset bowling alleys, and Moon Glo drive-in theatre. She worked 6 years as desk clerk at Wilson Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. After her husband's death she returned to Twin Falls, Idaho and was employed for 8 years as receptionist and secretary at the medical center laboratory.
She was a member of the Daughters of Nile from 1956 to 1960 in Buhl, Idaho.
After retiring she enjoyed traveling, golfing, dancing, playing cards, playing the organ and working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed many visits with her family, friends, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by two step daughters, Julie (Gary) Bourn of Hansen, Idaho, and Cherryle (John) Erickson of Portland, Oregon; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Marie (Ernest) Lancaster of Filer, Idaho and Bernice (Dick) Atkins of Buhl, Idaho; five brothers, Charles Ihler of Buhl, Idaho, Willard and Elmer Ihler of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ernest and Harry Ihler of Filer, Idaho.
Cremation is under the direction of Lance Cox and the staff at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park".
