Lucille B. Martin

Lucille Batt Martin passed away October 23 at EIRMC at the age of 87 with family near by. She was born on June 13, 1924 to Morley and Minnie Batt in Milo ID. Living in Grant with two brothers, Melvin and Jim Batt. On Feb. 13, 1946, she married her child hood sweetheart, Don Martin, also from Grant. (Her brother married Don's sister) They had four children and lived in Idaho Falls since 1954. She was active in the L.D.S church all her life. She has served in many callings and as a Temple worker. Her Mission was the West Virginia Genealogy Her work was at Sears teaching Knitting and owned Heritage Needlecrafts store on Elm St. she was in 4-H with clubs and judging handy work at the fairs. She loved to knit, crochet, counted cross stitch, oil painting, reading, cake decorating, fishing, crossword puzzles. Dancing with the Stars and Americas got Talent were a must see when ever they were on. She is Survived by her Daughter JoAnne (Dennis) Halls, Son Steve (Marie-Claire) Martin, daughter Cathy (Terry) McMurdo, And LaRene Marler. Her Grandchildren number 9 and 9 Great - grand children .
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Don, her brother Melvin Batt and son-in - Law Craig Marler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Twenty Sixth Ward Chapel, 2025 Jennie Lee Dr. in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Paul Manning, officiating. Burial will follow at the Ucon Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.
