Margaret Elizabeth O'Connor, 77, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015, at her home in Ucon. She was born on July 17, 1937, in Spokane, Washington, to William R. and Alice Scott. She spent most of her childhood in Sunnyside, Washington. She graduated from Sunnyside High School. She then went to Gonzaga University. She married Robert R. O'Connor on June 28, 1958, in Sunnyside, Washington. She was a civil engineer with the highway department in Washington and Idaho for several years. She was an English teacher with Holy Rosary Catholic School for a few years. She was an avid bowler for many years and loved to knit blankets for her family and friends. She was a loving mother and a wonderful listener. Survivors include her son, Thomas (Suki) S. O'Connor of Sacramento, California; and her daughter, Maurya (Stephan) L. Speck of Shelton, Washington; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alice Scott, her son, Michael R. O'Connor and her daughter, Katherine E. O'Connor. Private family services will be held at a later date.
