Margaret Marie (Wille) Schuetz, age 92, got her wings and went to be with her Lord in heaven on June 6, 2013. Margaret was born March 1, 1921 in Balzers, Liechtenstein, near Switzerland. She came to America in 1923 with her mother, Frieda Wille to meet her father, Heinrich, who had immigrated earlier to Iowa. Margaret's mother passed away in 1929 and she and her sister were put into St. Mary's Orphan's Home in Dubuque, Iowa. At age 12, an aunt and uncle took her and her sister out to help take care of their 5 children and help on the large farm. Margaret left there at 19 and went for nurse's aid training at La Crosse, Wisconsin. She also worked for a doctor and in a hospital in Dubuque. Later she moved to Idaho Falls to work at the Sacred Heart Hospital. She met Peter E. Schuetz and they fell in love and were married in 1945 in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They bought a farm near Roberts, Idaho and raised four children. Margaret also worked in potato processing plants throughout the years. She always had a large garden and lots of flowers and belonged to the Flower and Garden Club in Roberts. She made quilts for many family members and embroidered and crocheted many gifts as well. She was a fabulous cook and always rewarded hard work with good food. She was also an avid card player and in her later years she enjoyed bowling and belonged to a senior citizens bowling league. We will never forget her laughter and everything she did with love and hard work for the family. She was a loving mother and good friend. She was preceeded in death by 3 infants and husband, Pete in 1987. She leaves behind her sister, Marcella and husband Roy Danielson. Margaret had three sons in the Idaho Falls area and one daughter in Montana, including Stanley Schuetz, and two grandchildren, Rory Schuetz and Cari Kapsner; Terry (Sue) Schuetz, and two granddaughters, Theresa Ford and Lynette Hansen; Kay Schuetz-McIsaac, and granddaughter, Stephanie McIsaac-Pollock, and Brian (Sonia) Schuetz who have lovingly cared for her always. She had eight great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and many relatives in Idaho, Iowa, and Europe. She lived with Brian and Sonia since her seventies, and during the last 18 months she resided at the Gables of Shelley Assisted Living. The Schuetz family wishes to thank the Gables staff for their loving care and support during the time she lived there and especially the last weeks of her life. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, 12, 2013, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, corner of 9th and Lee in Idaho Falls, with Father Rual Covarrubias, celebrant.
