Marsha Ellen Hostetler

August 21, 1947 — February 16, 2011

Marsha Ellen Lacey Hostetler was born August 21, 1947 in Peoria, IL. She passed away on February 16, 2011 in Twin Falls Idaho. She was the daughter of the late Donald R. and Marcella Richtor Lacey also from Peoria, IL. She married Robert E Hostetler who passed away in December 2008. Robert and Marsha were always together and he was the love of her life.
Marsha attended schools in Peoria and graduated from Peoria High School in 1965. She graduated from Mary Crest College with a B.S. degree in education in 1969. In 1972 she graduated from Bradley College with a master's degree in education.
She and her husband Robert owned and operated Morgan's Mobile Home and Fish Camp in Fruitland Park, FL. One of Marsha's passions was cheering her beloved Orlando Magic Basketball team. They were long time season ticket holders. Marsha and Bob were known as "The Hat Couple". She and Bob often traveled with the team and had visited all 29 N.B.A. arenas around the country.
Another of Marsha's passions was Toastmasters International where she held most of the offices in the club.
In the autumn of 2009 Marsha moved to Twin Falls Idaho to be closer to family. Marsha was a resident of Bridgeview estates and quickly made numerous great friendships with the other residents and the nurses that cared for her. Marsha loved being close to family and the many visits she had with them.
Marsha was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and attended the Bridgeview Branch. She had many great friends there who loved and cared for her.
In recent years, Marsha had many health difficulties and challenges. She was blessed with wonderful caregivers. Throughout her trials Marsha kept a positive attitude. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and friends that cared for and befriended Marsha.
Marsha is survived by her son John Joe Dobrenick of Springville Utah. Granddaughter, Natasha Solomon (Korey) and her four "angel" great granddaughters. Marsha was blessed with several devoted and longtime friends including Ruth, Rae, Patsy, Jonnie and Billy.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter.
A funeral will be held in Marsha's honor on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at the L.D.S. church located at 680 N. Hankins Rd. N in Kimberly, Idaho. A visitation and viewing will take place one hour before the service. Interment will be in Chandlerville. IL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Diabetes Association, ATTN: National Call Center, 1701 North Beauregard Street , Alexandria, VA 22311. Interment will be in Chanderville, IL.
