Martin Kraig Thomason

9/1/61 - 6\16\2011

After a four year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) Martin Kraig Thomason succumbed to this crippling disease which he gallantly fought with dignity, courage and faith.

Martin was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on the 1st of September 1962 to Kelly and Sandra Thomason.

The family lived in Jerome until Martin was 3 and then moved to Hill City, Idaho. Martin attended Camas County Schools where he graduated in 1980. He attended college at Idaho State University and received an Associate's Degree in Diesel Mechanics. Martin moved to Jerome where he resided until his death. He worked as foreman for Marshall's Warehouse for many years, and was active in the Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scout Master until his illness forced him to leave.

Martin married Lynette Green and had a son, Kraig. They were later divorced, and Martin raised Kraig ½ mile from Kelly and Sandra's home in Jerome.

Martin enjoyed scouting, working in his yard, carpentry, and his dog Sadie. He was a wonderful son, father, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Martin's wishes were to have a private family memorial, which will be held at a later date.

Martin was preceded in death by his brother Steven Thomason, paternal and maternal Grandparents. He is survived by his parents Kelly and Sandra Thomason of Jerome, his son Kraig (LaLania) of Boise, his sisters Kristine (Terry) Ruby of Gooding, Koreen (Paul) Sheridan of Jackson Hole, and Erin (Shain) Alvord of Salt Lake City.

The family would like to express special thanks to Cindy Blakley of Idaho Home Health and all the loving care he received from A Caring Hand.

The family suggests memorials be sent to The Living Waters Presbyterian Church in Wendell or Jerome Boy Scouts Troop 139. To share a memory of Martin or to offer condolences to Martin's family please visit www.whitemortuary.com
