Mary Colleen Barber

Mary Colleen Barber, 84, passed away at home in Idaho Falls on October 26, 2022. Colleen was born on April 20, 1938 to Alvin and Beulah Clapp in Iona ID . She spent her early years growing up In Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls high school.

Colleen was married to Marlowe Barber on April 1,1961 and their family consisted of 3 children, Paul, Karen and Mike She raised her children as a stay at home mom and enjoyed sewing riding outfits for equestrian riders while living in VA. Colleen and Marlowe returned to Idaho Falls in the early 1980’s where she developed her artistic talents by painting in water colors, oils and colored pencils , eventually moving into beading and jewelry making. Colleen was an active member of both the Eagle Rock Art Guild and the Colored Pencil Society for many years, in addition to being a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Colleen is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Peter) Parker; children, Paul (Linda) Barber, Karen Smith and Mike Barber; grandchildren, Nichole (Javier) Hernandez, Blake (Jessica) Smith, Jason Barber and Troy Barber and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Arlen and Harold.

A time of remembrance and fellowship will be held on Dec 3,2022 at 11:30 am. at Christ the King Catholic Church 1690 E 17th St, Idaho Falls, ID 83404
