Matthew Glenn Ball

Matthew Glenn Ball passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 in New Plymouth. Matt was born Aug. 26, 1960 in Boise, ID to Harvey G. Ball and Elizabeth I. "Betty" Ball. In 1968 the family moved to New Plymouth when their father's job took them there. After finishing high school Matt went to work for Woodgrain in Fruitland and then in Silverton, OR. He then moved to Scotts Mills, OR and worked for a house moving company, making good friends along the way. He made several moves to Colorado working for the highway dept. and a mining company. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Harvey; his grandparents; his brother-in-law, Walt Johnson; and his best friend, Tim Webster. He is survived by his mother, Betty of New Plymouth; brothers, Randy of Colorado and Allen (Pam) of New Plymouth; and his sister, Laura Johnson of New Plymouth; two nieces and two nephews; two great nieces and four great nephews; his longtime girlfriend, Myra Leach and her children of Scott Mills, OR; his biker buddies, Chuck and MaryAnn Leonard of Scott Mills, OR; his cat Wiley, who is missing him; as well as many friends from all around. Honorary Pall Bears will be good friends, Lloyd Bivins, Nick Dunbraski, Chuck Leonard, Mike Micheli, Rick Pittman, Clay Webster, and Kevin Wininger. Memorials to honor Matt can be made to the charity of one's choice, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28th at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Cremation is under the direction Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth.
