Micah Haugland, 35 of Idaho Falls died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at his home in Idaho Falls after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 24, 1977 in Radcliffe, Iowa to Kyle David Haugland and Kim Kristin Schultz Remien. He was born in his father's hometown. He grew up in Iowa, Minnesota and Idaho. Micah grew up attending church in both Idaho Falls and Minnesota, but felt the most at peace in the Idaho forests. Micah was enthusiastic about soccer, and was on AYSO and competition teams. He played for Idaho Falls High School and ISU's Club Team. Micah enjoyed the back country, a good game of golf with friends, betting on the Super Bowl with his MorMor, watching his Twins beat his Grandma Kate's White Sox and his Da's Cubbies. He was a wicked Scrabble player who could score 40 points with a three letter word. He was his Uncle Dave's "Mudpuddy". Survivors include his parents, Kim and David Remien of Idaho Falls; brother, Bear (Ariane) Remien of Anchorage, Alaska; uncles and aunts, Mark and Karen Haugland of Duluth, Georgia, Dave Haugland of Camarillo, California, Kate and Mike Reagan of Denver, Colorado, Jan Remien of Brookline, Massachussetts; grandmother, Arline Schultz of Aurora, Colorado, grandparents, Ralph and Kate Schultz of Conroe, Texas; grandfathers, Art Remien of Exeter, New Hampshire, and Howard Haugland of Story City, Iowa; cousins, Brian, Mike, and Eric Menna of Brookline, Massachusetts, Annie Haugland of Decateur, Georgia, Jason Haugland of Athens, Georgia, Tea Reagan of Denver, Colorado; and son Logan Raquet of Moscow, Idaho; and many friends.
