Mildred V Webster

July 28, 1916 — January 21, 2013

She was born in Twin Falls on July 28, 1916 to William Tell and Sarah "Sadie" Scott Strickland. She attended schools in Jerome and Medicine Lodge, Kansas where she graduated from high school in 1935. The following year she returned to Jerome where she worked for Leyson Photography. On April 12, 1939 she married her childhood sweetheart, Fred Webster. Together they had three children: Terry, Danny, and Karen Sue.
Milly was a kind and gentle soul and was known for her unique sense of humor. Her passion was in caring for her home and family. She loved music and sang in the
Presbyterian Church choir for a number of years. She was a life time member of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies were embroidery, crocheting, sewing and crossword puzzles. She and her sister Vida Lou spent many hours together shopping and taking trips to California to visit her daughter. Before her retirement, Milly picked beans at Marshall Warehouses in Jerome and Roger Brothers in Twin Falls.
Milly was preceded in death by her husband Fred, son Danny, daughter Karen Sue, sister Alice Turnbull, and brother William Tell Strickland, Jr.
Milly is lovingly remembered by her son Terry (Joan) Webster of Twin Falls; grandchildren Sherry (Kevin) Owings of Kimberly, Shelly (Dennis) Heidel of Sandy, Utah, and Dawn Gable of Bethesda, Maryland; great-grandchildren Dustin Owings, Tyler (Lynnie) Owings, Jason Owings, and Madsen Heidel; great-great- grandchildren Lydia Owings and Hazen Owings; a sister Vida Lou Baisch of Eden, ID and a brother Ivan Troy Strickland of Elko, Nevada, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 1:00pm at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" under the direction of Lance Cox and staff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their appreciation to River Ridge Care Center.Mildred Vernetta Webster, 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2013.
