Mona Lee Farren

She was born on February 17th, 1953 in Torrence, Ca. to Elmer and Irene Smith. Mona grew up and lived most of her life in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She married the love of her life, John, in 1970 and enjoyed 41 years together. Together they had 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Mona was very active in the community. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, performed in numerous productions for Idaho Falls Opera Theater as well as ARTI dinner theater. Mona was an extremely talented, self taught musician and singer. Mona and John also taught country line dancing for several years. Mona loved being around people, especially her family. One of her favorite places to spend time with others was in Island Park where she was well known. Her selflessness towards others and her love for her family and friends was one of a kind. Mona was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and a brother. She is survived by her children, James and Melanie Farren, Krystal and Tom Bruce, Heidi and Jeff Hanosky; her brothers and sister, James Smith (Meridee), Jerry Smith (Brenda), Mike Smith (Rose), Sandi Smith; her grandchildren and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12th 2012 at Buck-Miller-Hahn Funeral Home.
Services to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13th at Buck-Miller-Hahn Funeral Home. Family will receive guests from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
