Myrtle Marie Marie Nielsen

Marie was born April 24, 1946, to Russell and Frances Fields in Barstow, Calif. She was the sixth child in a family of 12 children. In 1964, she married John Anderson. They were happily married until he passed away in 1992. Later she met the love of her life, Jack Nielsen. They courted for seven years, then married on Oct. 23, 1998. Her favorite job was working as a CAN at Boise Samaritan Village in Boise and later at Bridgeview in Twin Falls. She worked until her health forced her into retirement. Marie touched a lot of lives throughout the years. She would light up a room when she walked in. She was a very loving, caring, compassionate, yet very strong woman. She loved to serve her community by sewing quilts and bringing sunshine to many lives she touched. Her passion in life was quilting. She is survived by her nine children: Annette Trimble of Meridian, Donna Cotton of Boise, Debbie Anderson of Coeur d'Alene, John Anderson III of Coeur d'Alene, Loretta Anderson of Meridian, Paulla (Steve) Williams of Kuna, Richard (Kellie) Nielsen of Paradise, Utah, Pauline (Scott) Des Chene of Mountain Home and Paul Anderson of Mountain Home; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at White Mortuary in Twin Falls.
