Nadine Best Jennings

Nadine was born March 5, 1927 in Enumclaw, Washington to Charles and Helen Kosar McAllister. Nadine was raised in Buckley, Washington and attended Buckley High School. Upon graduation she attended the University of Washington before becoming a flight attendant for United Airlines. Nadine worked as librarian at Idaho Falls High School and then at Idaho Falls Public Library. Nadine married Thomas Kevin Best on June 1, 1950. The couple lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, before moving to Idaho Falls, Idaho. The couple raised seven children Kathy Miller of Pocatello, Idaho, Mary Jane Best of Beaverton, Oregon, Colleen (Alan) Johnson of Rupert, Idaho, Marty (Mandy) Best of Boulder, Colorado, Patty (Bruce) DeLeonard of Walla Walla, Washington, Kevin Scott Best of Portland, Oregon and Tom Best of Middleton, Idaho. Thomas Kevin passed in October 1971. Nadine continued to raise her children on her own, and later married Gene Jennings of Idaho Falls in April of 1989. She was active in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Nadine loved spending her time with her ten grandchildren: Sara, Adam, Jordan, Andrew, Erin, Ally, Maggie, Kevin, Stephen, and Ryan. Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, September 6th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Visitation will be held at Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th, 2013 followed by recitation of the Rosary from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Idaho Youth Ranch at 5465 W. Irving Street Boise, Idaho 83706 ( http://www.youthranch.org/donate ), in the name of Nadine Jennings.Nadine Best Jennings, 86, died peacefully of natural causes in her Middleton, Idaho home surrounded by her children on Wednesday, August 28th, 2013.
