Nancy lived in Butte, MT until she moved to Boise, and met her love of her life and husband of 30 yrs, Herbert Dwayne Assel Sr. They moved to different towns to follow her husband's dream, and settled down in Twin Falls, ID in 1971. Where they raised their two children, Debbie Mae Assel and Herbert Dwayne Assel Jr. Nancy enjoyed going to Miracle Hot Springs with all of her loved ones. She loved spending time with all her family, and enjoyed bringing smiles and laughter to everyone's lives. She enjoyed taking care of numerous animals and many different variety of plants. Nancy was a faithful volunteer of numerous organizations supporting strength in her community. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune, Biggest Loser, Price Is Right, and the Laurence Welk Show. Family and Unity of her loved ones were number one in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Elizabeth Barry, and her husband of 30 yrs. Herbert Dwayne Assel Sr. also a child that passed too soon. She is survived by her brother LeRoy(Gayle) Barry of Butte, MT, son Herbert (Michelle) Dwayne Assel Jr. of Filer, ID, daughter Debbie Mae Assel of Twin Falls, ID, Grand Daughters Ashley(Timothy) Marie Brander of Nampa, ID and Carlee Mae Assel of Twin Falls, ID. Grandsons Dominic Ethan Assel of Filer, ID and Robert Stearns of Twin Falls, ID. Great granddaughter Caylee Mae Assel of Twin Falls, ID The family would like to thank all who have touched our lives and to Dr. Skeem and all the staff at St. Luke's Hospital and at Brideview Care Estates. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. Funeral service for Nancy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 16, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, 360 Shoshone Street East with Pastor Mike Hollomon officiating. Burial will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. Dinner and fellowship will follow at The First United Methodist Church for all of her family and friends.
