Neal Stanley Reichert

January 16, 1931 — December 19, 2018

Neal Stanley Reichert of Meridian, Idaho passed away December 19, 2018 after battling a long illness. He was born January 16, 1931 in Yoder, Wyoming. The son of Albert and Edith Reichert of Casper, Wyoming.
He graduated from high school and worked in the family owned grocery store in New Plymouth, Idaho. He met Colleen Jo Tullis in New Plymouth and they were married in 1954.
He moved to Long Beach, California with his family to apprentice as a meat cutter for 4 years, then moving to Ontario, Oregon, working for Albertsons, eventually becoming a meat Department Manager in Boise, Idaho.
He worked for Mountain States Wholesale, American Strevell, and, Fleming Food Co as Boise Regional Manager before retiring in 1991.
They enjoyed many years in retirement remodeling their cabin in Cascade, as he was a very talented carpenter and woodworker. Many years were enjoyed with their West Mountain Gang, observing the wildlife, fishing on Cascade Lake, and painting, as he was a very accomplished artist.
Winters were spent in Yuma, Arizona, summers in Cascade, until health issues moved them back to Boise, Idaho.
Neal is preceded in death by Colleen Jo Reichert in May 2017. He is survived by his sister Shirley Carr; son Greg Reichert (Holly); daughter Jill Jenkins (Brad); grandchildren Logan Jenkins, Conner Jenkins, and Janelle Reichert Jenkins (Mark); and great grandson Jaxon Jenkins.
