Noah Lee Rae, 74, passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec. 28, 2013 in Ontario, OR. Noah was born Nov. 25, 1939 in Wichita, KS to Ellen Goldie Baker. As a young child, he lived in Missouri with his family. In his early teens, he and his mother along with several other family members moved to California, where work seemed to be more prosperous. Noah continued to live and work in California for several years. During this time he met and married his wife and mother to his three children, Sharon Glen. Shortly after they married, Noah found better opportunities for the family in Las Vegas, NV where he worked and raised his family for many years. Noah, at the young age of 20 owned and operated Las Vegas Radiator. He and Sharon would spend what seemed like endless hours building the business and making it a huge success over several years. In 1975, Noah sold the business to his brother, Wayne. Not long after this he and Sharon divorced and he moved to Boise, ID where he purchased Boise Radiator. Shortly after moving to Boise, Noah married the love of his life Carol Chaffee. The two of them were soul mates, best friends and lifelong partners. They operated Boise Radiator for approximately 30 years. During this time they also invested in many real estate purchases; this leading to a very successful business, NCR Properties LLC, which Noah operated until the day of his death. Buying and selling real estate was his passion in life.
He and Carol loved what they did and enjoyed doing it together. Noah also enjoyed the time he had to spend with his children and grandchildren, riding and racing motorcycles and ATV's. He loved to spend time traveling and sightseeing around Idaho and the surrounding areas, as well as going to local auctions with the family where they bought and sold farm equipment and other miscellaneous items. He took great pride in teaching his children and grandchildren how to hunt, fish, camp and enjoy the outdoors just as he did. He was a man of honor, pride, and dignity. He and his strength will be forever missed by all of us. But he now rests in a much greater place, surrounded by his loved ones who have been waiting for him. MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN HIS ARMS DAD. Noah is survived by his three children, Carla Kunerth of Kuna, ID, Lonny Rae of Payette, ID, and Sharon Caldwell of Mesa, ID; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Kathy Salsbury of Melba, ID; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Ron Wolford of Nampa, ID; and two step children, Danny Chaffee of Weiser, ID and Cherie Chaffee of Las Vegas, NV. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Rae; his mother, Ellen Baker; his uncle, James Rae; and all of his dogs, which he so dearly loved.
