Norris Andrew West

Norris A. West, 91 passed away on August 12, 2013 at Good Samaritan Society surrounded by his family. He was born on September 23, 1921 in Idaho Falls, to Lewis West and Edith Burkman. Norris grew up on a farm in New Sweden. He attended New Sweden Elementary School and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the Army during World II.
He married Caroline Della Mayo on January 19, 1949 in Idaho Falls. He farmed in the New Sweden area until he retired in 1980. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tying flies and spending time with his family. Norris is survived his daughters, Betty Roth, Rosemary West and Trudy West of Idaho Falls; sons, Clay West, Idaho Falls and Hal West of Elpaso, Texas, 12 grandchildern, several great-grandchildern and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline, his parents and two brothers.
