Olga Hoge Klinke

June 13, 1918 — April 15, 2016

Olga Louise Hoge Klinke was born June 13, 1918 in Montpelier, Idaho to Bertha Grimmett Hoge and William Smith Hoge. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up in Paris, Idaho and graduated from Fielding High School in 1936. She attended the University of Idaho graduating with a degree in Drama and English in 1940. While teaching at Pocatello High School, she met the love of her life, Sgt. Fred G. Klinke, who was stationed at Pocatello Air Force Base. They married in Paris, Idaho on October 4, 1943 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in December of 1968. She and Fred moved to Twin Falls, Idaho following Fred's discharge from the Army Air Corp in 1946. Daughters Susan was born in October 1945 and Jane was born in July 1956 and son John was born in May 1959. Olga taught school for 36 years, of which 33 years were in the Twin Falls School District. Olga was actively involved in the LDS church her whole life and worked in the Primary for a majority of her adult life.
She greatly enjoyed traveling. Fred and Olga went on many road trips visiting relatives and friends and seeing the sights of the United States. After retirement in 1982 they especially enjoyed cruising to many destinations around the world. After a hospital stay in February of 2015, Olga went to live at Bridgeview Estates followed by a move to Grace Assisted
Living. She remained there until her passing on April 15, 2016 at the age of 97. She is survived by her three children Susan (Jon) Anderson, Burley,
Jane (Ken) Edmunds, Twin Falls and John Klinke, Twin Falls, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband Fred, her parents and three siblings preceded her in death. Olga's family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Bridgeview Estates, Grace Assisted Living and Hospice Visions for all they did to keep our mother safe. Services will be Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Twin Falls LDS West Stake Center, 667 Harrison Street, Twin Falls, Idaho. Viewing will be from 1-1:45 pm with the funeral starting at 2 pm. Funeral services are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park." Interment will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Paris, Idaho.
