Patricia A. Woodington

January 1, 1932 — April 28, 2013

Patricia A. Woodington, 81, of Meridian, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at The Cottages Assisted Living Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 4th at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth, ID. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Patricia's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Patricia was born on Jan. 1, 1932 in New Plymouth, ID to Charlie and Mabel (Barnett) Groves. She graduated from New Plymouth High School in 1950 and married William H. Woodington in 1951. She worked at many professions in her lifetime, including co-owning "Woody's Tasty Donuts" in Boise and "Summerville's Café & Bar" in Riggins. She retired in 2006, after spending 15 years as a cashier at Country Corner Mart. Our blessed Mother loved her flowers and her lifetime passion was photography. Patricia is survived by her four children, Bill Woodington of Council, ID, Patrick Woodington (Cindy) of Meridian, ID, Gary Woodington (Barb) of Boise, ID and Sheryl Higgins of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and her sister, Judy Pomeroy of Weiser, ID. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Betty Cook and Vera Holiday; her brothers, Gene Groves and Lynn
Groves. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at The Cottages in Meridian and Legacy Hospice of Meridian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Legacy Home Health and Hospice, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
