Paul Eugene Haas

Paul Eugene Haas, 53, of Payette, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at his home in Payette. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31st at the River of Life Christian Center, Payette. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Paul's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Paul was born on April 13, 1959 in Dubuque, IA to Henry and Violet (Davenport) Haas. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1978. Paul joined the Army and served for years before receiving an honorable discharge. During this time he met and fell in love with Gretchen Milo. In December of 1983 they were married and moved to Payette to start their home. Paul loved spending time with family, 4-wheeling and camping; especially tending the fire! Paul is survived by his wife, Gretchen; his daughters, Stephanie Rasmussen (Eric) and Heidi Haas; a granddaughter, Ryley Rasmussen; his siblings, Henry Haas, Jr. (Mary Jo), Carolyn Alftin (Clint), Lois Frazier, and Betty Jo Haas.
