Phyllis May Shaw was born August 10, 1942 to Warren and Dorothy Bogle in Canon City, Colorado. The family moved to Payette, Idaho in 1943, where Phyllis attended Payette schools and graduated from Payette High School in 1961.
Phyllis met the love of her life and her lifelong partner, Bob, in 1963. They were married in Winnemuca, Nevada in 1965. Bob and Phyllis made their home in NuAcres, Idaho on the family farm where they cared for the dairy started by Bob's parents Bob and Verna Shaw. While maintaining the farm, Phyllis raised three children Dorothy, Wesley and Cary and helped with many nieces, nephews and cousins. For most of their marriage Bob was a long haul truck driver. Phyllis watched over their home and children while also working at Anderson Corner, where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed bowling, being with friends, meeting for coffee shop visits and family get togethers. Phyllis enjoyed watching her children grow as they participated in school activities, 4-H and FFA. Along with teaching her children the value of hard work, she instilled in them the meaning of living by faith; always trusting God would provide. Phyllis loved to help others, visiting with those she knew and was never afraid to make a new friend. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert (Bob) Shaw, NuAcres; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy & Sean Powell; son and daughter-in-law Wesley & LeeAnna Shaw; son and daughter-in-law Cary & Beth Shaw. Phyllis's 5 grandchildren were the light of her life; Abbigale, Ethan, Kerragan, Gary, & Genavieve. She is also survived by 3 sisters; Helen Ong, Lois Pearcy and Sandra Clarkson and 2 brothers; Neal Bogle and Warren (Juny) Bogle. As well as numerous other family members, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Rafael Arteta-Bulos and the staff at MSTI Fruitland.
