Polly Meierotto, 89, of Ammon passed away Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Mountain Valley Assisted Living Center in Ammon. She was born on March 30, 1922, in Pegram, Idaho, the daughter of Earl and Viola McCellan Adamson. Polly spent her earlier life and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She married William Meierotto Jr. on November 4, 1939, at the First Presbyterian Church in Idaho Falls. Polly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Elks Club, BPO Does, Saturday Night Bunch for dinner and dancing, and the FA Bridge Club that she played with for over sixty years. She grew beautiful gardens and roses, that never had weeds. She loved playing golf, crocheting, traveling and camping. Polly was a kind, loving, hard worker who lived her life with dignity. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Lynn (Don) Mendel of Idaho Falls, ID; a son, Sidney (Tina) Meierotto of Parma, ID; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters. She was the last living member of her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm St. in Idaho Falls, with Pastor Tom Wylie, officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls. A viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
