Randall Shaw

Randy passed away on December 10, 2023 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was born on July 12, 1947 in Santa Monica, California to Max and Barbara Hall Shaw. He grew up in California in Reseda and Simi Valley. After high school he attended Pierce college in Los Angeles. Randy joined the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. It was during his service aboard aircraft carriers he acquired his lifelong interest in electronics and computer technology. After his Navy service he moved to Idaho and began a long and successful career working for numerous contractors at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).  He retired from Argonne National Labs in 2000. 

He met Marilyn Bernhard while working at the INL and they were married in June,1979.

Randy had many hobbies and interests but loved sailing, camping and RV life. He will be remembered as a kind and helpful man who was generous with his time, talents and resources.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Darryl Shaw.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons Brian Shaw and Bill (Betty) Brown, his sister Lois Cohen, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, many sisters & brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Randy's life will be held at a later date.

Interment will be in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
