Raymond J. Holm passed away in his sleep on August 13th, 2017 in Idaho Falls Idaho. He was born June 29th, 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Everett William Holm and Marcine Sharon Jackson. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service to his country. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Korea and Germany where he met his wife. He was an avid fisherman, mechanic and a voracious reader of books.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ingrid; his sons Don Jay Holm of Parson, West Virginia; Jason Everette Holm of Reno, Nevada; his sisters Anna Ransom of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Karen Haley of Aberdeen Idaho; and 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Raymond was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his brothers Karl Holm; and Jon Holm.
He was under the care of Avalon Hospice when he passed away and the family wants to give a special heartfelt thanks to Libby, Annalee, Karen, and Brenda for their compassion in there care for him.
No services will be provided as he asked to be cremated and his ashes placed with his loving wife's when the time comes and scattered at a place dear to both of them.
May his heart and soul soar high away into the wind.
