Reva B. Corbett, 92, born March 8, 1919 to Asa and Winnifred Baird, passed away Nov 6, 2011 in Blackfoot. Reva was born in Riverside, Idaho and grew up in Firth, Idaho, graduating from Firth High School. Reva went to school and became a nurse. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When she was 21 she served a mission for the church in the New England States. In her later years, she served two more missions, one in New Mexico, and the second in Salt Lake City in the Geneology Dept. Reva married William G. Corbett and had two sons, John and Ron. The family ranched in Montana, Salmon, and Midvale, Idaho.
"Grandma", as she is called by her family, had many talents. She loved to sew and make clothes and quilts, many of these she gave to her grandchildren. She had a" green thumb" and could make anything grow. She loved to raise a garden and can. She would spend hours scavenging for and filling boxes with rocks of all kinds. Grandma spent many hours with her grandchildren. There were lots of sleep-over's at grandmas, where lots of memories were made while baking chocolate chip cookies, and drinking Mountain Dew. Reva is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Wayne, Keith, Reed, Neil, and Jim, and two sisters, Vera, and Beth. She is survived by one brother, Claire,(Janelle) of Blackfoot, two sons, John, (Danene) of Coeur d'Alene, and Ron, (Tracy), of Firth, Idaho. She has eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. November 11, 2011, the Firth Cemetery with Bishop Blaine Wilding, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
