Richard LeRoy Frerichs

Idaho Falls - Richard LeRoy Frerichs, 72, passed away on October 26, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society of Idaho Falls. He was born on October 17, 1941 in Bayard, Nebraska to Eilert and Leola Ruth Thorpe Frerichs. He worked on the family farm until graduating in 1958 from Bloomington High School. He earned an Associates of Arts at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California. He married Barbara Jean Blanchard on September 6, 1963 in Denver, Colorado. He retired after 40 years of working for the Boeing Company. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He also belonged to the Gideon's and was Treasurer. He enjoyed whitewater rafting and hunting. He was a great provider who would do anything to help anyone and always enjoyed a good visit. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Frerichs of Idaho Falls; son, Richard S. (Kimberly) Frerichs of Idaho Falls; daughter, Christy Frerichs of Idaho Falls; granddaughter, Amelia M. R. Frerichs of Idaho Falls; three brothers, Rodney (Crystal) Frerichs of Bloomington, Nebraska, Jacob Frerichs of Franklin, Nebraska, and David (Sara) Frerichs, of Idaho Falls; and sister, Martha Frerichs of Upland, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 785 First Street in Idaho Falls.
