Robert Wayne Douglas "Prune" passed quietly away at his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2nd at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette with a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service. A committal service with Military Honors will follow at 2 p.m. at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery, Boise. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Condolences may be made to Bob's family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. He was born on March 1, 1933 to Warne Clifford and Bessie (Allen) Douglas in Emmett, ID. Devoted husband, father and grandfather; Bob's passions in life were his family, friends, cooking and singing karaoke. Bob was also very proud to be a veteran and to have served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Boatswain's Mate in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lois (Rynearson) Douglas and is survived by their five children, Kurt, Cliff and Rebecca, Charles, Marla Apadoca, Philip and Joyce, daughter-in-law Deborah Douglas as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
