Robert Francis Peter "Pete" age 75, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St Luke's Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born June 7, 1936 in Presho, South Dakota to Werner A. Peter and Ruth McAlpin.
He attended school in Kennebec, South Dakota and attended Notre Dame in Mitchell, South Dakota and Coyne College in Chicago, Illinois where he specialized in Automotive Electrical.
During his years in Mitchell, he helped dismantle and rebuild the scenes on the Corn Place. He also coached boys' baseball.
In his own words, he "spent many happy years working for Dick Haines, Swede & Frank Sidles Company, for Dwaine Meyers at Haines Auto electric, Inc." He worked with his friends Beed, Gene, Andy, Rex, Joyce, Ferd, Clyde, Fred, Dave, Lee, Alan, Jeff, and many others.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Werner and Ruth; his brothers, Theron, Olen, Emory, Louis, and Harold Burnett. His is survived by his sister, Marion Peter.
A service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00pm at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Twin Falls. Services are under the direction of Lance Cox and the staff at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park".
